   You picked a bad time for flying – all (or at least almost all) of the airlines flights will be expensive until after the 5th or so of 2010…this is the time when people are flying the most and what with bad weather, especially on the East Coast, it will be difficult to get a seat, much less one that is not expensive…:[

   look at jet blue which has pretty extensive upstate service, also they code share with Cape Air which has cessna service to some very small airports in upstate ny. Southwest has service to Albany I know

   I fly all of the time. You know how to get the super cheap deals?

   Use the phone and actually call the airline. Sure you go to Priceline or whatever and see who flies out, go to the specific airline’s site to see but 7 times out 10 if you call they hook you up.

   Example…. I am flying out from DC to London as in tonight. Orbitz and Priceline does not update flights and I went to it for a week. On the web for the airline all that was available was $ 13K. I CALLED an airline 4 times until I did not get someone in India and got a flight in upper class for $ 2000.
